In the electric era of the 1800s, fans were characterized by spiral ceiling rods and centrally place blade holders. The 19th Century fan pays tribute to these early traditions and adds elements of classic gaslight designs. The intricate, ornate patterns recall decorative influences of cast metal parts and tin-type moldings reminiscent of the period.
