Details

The close mount kit is designed to mount ceiling fans on low ceilings that are below 8 feet. This kit allows the removal of the ceiling fan's downrod (or pole) and will mount directly to the top of the ceiling fan's motor housing, giving you the same clearance as a flush mounted or ceiling hugger ceiling fan. It also replaces the canopy and original hanging bracket supplied with the fan.

Most Gulf-Coast ceiling fans come with a 3 1/2" downrod. In this case the close mount kit will give you an additional 2 3/4" of headroom. Some Gulf-Coast fans come with a 4" to 5" downrod and when using the close mount kit with those fans you will gain a little more clearance.

These kits are not typically recommended for ceilings 8' (standard height) or higher because the closer the ceiling fan blades become to the ceiling, the less efficient the fan becomes for moving air.

If ordering the close mount kit at the same time of your fan purchase we will automatically ship the close mount kit in the matching finish of your ceiling fan. If purchasing without buying a ceiling fan, please make sure to enter desired finish.

Only intended to be use with Gulf-Coast ceiling fans.  May be used on other brands with some modification.  We do not guarantee fitment if this kit is ordered for a ceiling fan other than Gulf-Coast.
