Hunter Fan Company - Inventors of the Ceiling Fan

In 1886, John Hunter and his son James C. Hunter created the first water-driven ceiling fan in upstate New York, the ceiling fan was invented. Not long after, Hunter Fan Company was shipping these water-driven fans, with hand-weighted and balanced blades across the United States as well as by boatloads to the Far East, Africa, and India.

Today, Hunter continues to combine 18th century craftsmanship with innovative designs and technology to create ceiling fans of good quality, style and quiet performance. Products the hold up to years of use while remaining beautiful on the outside.

At Palm Fan Store we can get any Hunter ceiling fan of your choice. However, we try to focus on the upper end line their fans which are only found in the Hunter Prestige catalog. The regular Hunter fans, found at the large home improvement centers are designed to give okay quality and performance but are geared more towards the price conscious shopper. This means you'll get a better fan, more like the Hunter of the olden days.
